Behind the Scenes with Our Director of Operations

Silvestre Kuhnen, our director of operations, is sharing the inside scoop with you.

The process of building a refrigerator begins with the arrival of raw materials into our facility. Once they're in-house, we kick off the process of crafting our renowned Frigidaire refrigerator. One of the key elements of our operation is the use of automation throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes. Yet, amidst the advanced technology, there remains a distinct human touch. Skilled technicians operate machinery, making fine-tuned adjustments and conducting rigorous quality checks to ensure every refrigerator is of exceptional quality for our consumers.

From start to finish, the process unfolds with remarkable efficiency. This streamlined approach allows us to meet demand and deliver a reliable, top-tier appliance that finds its place of honor in homes worldwide.

Making a Difference

In a display of community spirit, our dedicated group of Electrolux Group volunteers recently came together to pack nearly 1,000 meals for the United Way Weekend Backpack SnackPack Program. This initiative, aimed at addressing food insecurity among children, holds a special place in our hearts as we strive to shape lives for the better in our community.

We are immensely proud to play a part in supporting the United Way's Weekend Backpack SnackPack Program and to contribute to the well-being of our community's children.

Empowering Our Team

We frequently gather our incredible team for an All Hands meeting, igniting the spirit of engagement and a shared vision as we dive into the exciting year ahead!

This meeting wasn't just about numbers and strategies – it was about the importance of safety and fostering a sense of unity, purpose and camaraderie among us all. It's this bond that propels us forward as a strong, united force. As we chart our course for 2024, we are filled with excitement, determination and a shared commitment to excellence. Together, we are not just shaping our business, but also creating a vibrant future where success knows no bounds.

Employee Spotlight

Meet Jesse Thomas, our IT Technical Leader hailing from the beautiful town of Walhalla, SC!

Jesse brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for technology to our team. When asked about his favorite part of working at Electrolux Group, Jesse said, "It’s all about the opportunities I have to work with so many different areas, teams and cultures.”

But it's not all tech and screens for Jesse! In his free time, you'll find him and his wife embracing the tranquility of the mountains where they enjoy trout fishing.

We're proud to have Jesse on our team!

Thank You for Visiting, Senator Graham!

We love opening our doors to visitors and were honored to recently host Senator Lindsey Graham and his staff at our factory for a special tour, showcasing our significant investments made within our operations, as well as an employee gathering.

One of the highlights? Our very own employee Genese Baker provided an impromptu performance of our national anthem. It was a special moment with the Senator and an important reminder of how our appliances are built with American pride. Watch the video here.

You're welcome back any time, Senator Graham!

Give the Gift of Life

We recently hosted The Blood Connection right here at our facility, and our amazing supply chain team truly stepped up to the plate — or rather, the needle! They showed incredible spirit by rolling up their sleeves to donate blood, making a vital contribution to our community. Their generosity not only showcases the strength of our team, but also makes a significant difference in the lives of others.

Our Superstar!

In our recent employee recognition campaign, we couldn't help but shine the spotlight on one of our phenomenal supervisors, Jacqueline Turner! She’s a supervisor for the Production Cosmetics area.

Jacqueline truly embodies the spirit of flexibility. Challenges? She tackles them head-on with unwavering determination. She's always the first to step up and take charge.

Jacqueline is one of many inspiring female leaders across our organization; hear the stories of others we recognized on International Women’s Day here.

Joining Hands with AIM

At Electrolux Group, our commitment to the community runs deep, and we are thrilled to announce our partnership with AIM (Accept, Inspire, Minister) as a lead sponsor for 2024.

In addition, our employees recently participated in their "Heart for Helping" campaign to raise funds to support the nonprofit in offering vital assistance to those facing challenges, ensuring they have the warmth and care they need.

Each year, our team eagerly embraces the opportunity to participate in this initiative. It's a chance to embody our belief in the power of giving back and the strength of a compassionate community.
